How large do the male ocicats get ?

We have two cats ( domestic shorthairs ) one 10 months old and one 12 years old, both taken in from unwanted homes. Tikky the young one needs a play mate. I would like to get a slightly larger and more exotic looking cat i.e. the OCICAT. How large do they grow?
I am slightly confused because multiple sources of information state the male can grow to be 12-18 lbs, how ever I saw a breeder today and they said they are generally around the 12 lb mark.
Is it possible to find a silver male which might be larger then 12 lbs.
I will appreciate any comments and emails on the above email address. I love the look of the ocicat but if the size is limited then I might have to settle for a Maine Coon.
