"Icing" should be called when Team A shoots the puck from behind their own blue line (red line not in effect in this league except for tripping over it) and it crosses Team B's goal line without going through the goaltender's crease for Team B. Of course it is automatic in the BBHC therefore it can't be negated by Team A getting to it first or negated for being played by the goaltender for Team B.

Of course a REF could wave it off if he felt that Team B could have played the puck or perhaps he could wave it off if he feels the game needs to get over sooner, but he should not wave it off when:

A Bitchy defenseman gets completely outstretched and misses it ... the Bitchy defenseman actually has to have a shot at touching the puck!
One of the players on the team that ices the puck is close to it or could have made a play on it ... guess what??!! ... it STILL has to be the other team that is close or could make a play!

Now, I can see the occassional offsides missed because the REF is too lazy to skate to the blue line to make a decent call and let's face it ... it is very hard to call offsides when you are ten feet behind the play. And I can understand missing a penalty call ... it is subjective and sometimes donut powder gets in the eyes of the REF ... BUT ... can we all agree that "ICING" could be called even if the REF was sitting in the FRICKIN' STANDS!!!! I bet you an "ICING" call could be made from Dom's Fire Zone Parking Spot!!!!
