Well Traci, how LONG is it "normal" for a cat to hide??? LOL
I put out food, water, and a litterbox, none of which has been touched. She's still hiding under the dresser - and of course it's too tight of a fit for me to drag her out. It took effort for her to squeeze under there..... And the dresser's too heavy to lift up & get her.
She does purr when I put my hand under there to pet her. She's such a doll. I'm so glad she's inside. Like I posted to Helen (below), tonight was the first night that I drove down the road to my house and DIDN'T find myself silently praying, "Lord, please don't let her be in the road, run over!" It's such a relief to know she's safe. I sure do love this little girl.
Hopefully, she will be snoozing on the bed with me and the other cats soon.....LOL
