They didn't do an AIDS test....I don't think they ever really do that as a standard procedure at my vet's office.....hmmm
As for the whole spaying issue, I will wait to see if she's going to go into heat or if she's pregnant. I'll watch to see if she's getting fatter, and then have them "feel" of her in a few more weeks. I can't afford to pay for them to attempt to spay her now only to find out that she's already been spayed. The doctor's suggestion was best for me.....just wait. I haven't noticed ANY signs that she's been in heat lately, and she's apparently not right now either. I really think she was someone's pet at some point, and has been spayed. I hope no one is looking for her desperately..... She was so think when she came to my house, that she'd either been neglected or gotten lost. However, since she's been here off and on for the last three years, and she's ALWAYS been very thin, I can't help wondering if she wasn't a very *cherished* pet.
If she is pregnant, I'll hope she only has a few, and I know I can find homes for them....or HEY, I'll keep them. LOL!! You know I'm the crazy cat lady..... I just don't feel comfortable having her spayed if she's pregnant. I'm like Chris (and Isabelle) in that way.... I just don't want to do that....
After the ordeal with Mitzi and Kudo, I worry that I'm making someone really worried about her by making her an indoor kitty. At least while she was outside, she could return "home" (if she had one) during the day....
Oh well....I would rather her be indoors. Tonight was the FIRST night since she came (6 weeks ago!) that I was able to drive down the road toward my house WITHOUT silently praying, "God PLEASE don't let her be in the road, run over!" It was a good feeling to know that she was safe inside....
