My house has a front porch, but it isn't screened in. I live about 200 feet or so from the road, which isn't a main highway, but still busy. Belle never tries to get out. For some reason, even though at one time I allowed her to go out (when we lived at my parents' house for a few months), she doesn't try to escape. Of the new kittens, only Miss Daisy tries to scoot between my feet. Lily ALWAYS tries, and if the weather's not bad, I let her, simply because she *never* goes far. She just wants a nibble of grass.
I wish I had one of those yard enclosures, but I simply can't afford it. Someday, I hope I live WAAAAYYY out in the country where they can wander around some outside (supervised, of course!). Occasionally I load them all up and take them to my parents' house (only 15 min away) so they can play, but it's getting harder and harder with more and more cats! LOL Plus, Belle ALWAYS hides so that I can't get her. (She loves the farm life.) I swear every time that I'm never taking her back out there, but I do anyway.....
I know I would absolutely lose my mind if one escaped for as long as Mitzi and Kupo have been gone, so I am so glad Mitzi returned!
Kupo????? Where are you?????? Come home!!!!!
