Hi Traci!

Thanks for the warning...I would HATE to go through another tragedy. We didn't see the vet last time (he was on vacation). While I LOVE our vet, I'm not too thrilled with the bedside manner of his assistant so we took the kittens in to be tested without them being evaluated by a vet until Dr. Schmunk returned from vacation. Still, I wouldn't switch. Dr. Schmunk is so good that people come from all over for him. The girl at the desk mentioned vaccinations so that's where I got that idea from that they would get them this time. I have all the faith in the world with Dr. Schmunk that he wouldn't do something unnecessary or harmful. He was with me and continued to call and check on me after a beloved Pomeranian died of heart failure and an equally beloved Balinese that had lived for 22 years had to be put to sleep from old age and kidney failure. He's wonderful with his patients and the owners...and is VERY reasonable to boot. However, it helps me to know. I thought they were old enough at 6 weeks of age for vaccinations so I learned something and will be especially sure to ask for an age evaluation from him. I'm going from estimations I've read on web pages. Thanks again!

We're doing better but still have our moments of grief (especially me and my oldest...he's very tenderhearted (almost too tenderhearted if that's possible) and processes information more than a seven year old should). I'm very proud of him but I have to handle situations like this more straight forward with him than with my three year old daughter. You guys have helped so much. I'm gaining lots of information and really appreciate the kind words and prayers...THANKS!!

:)Angie
