I'm glad you don't have reactions to Molly and Romy. I just wish there was something that could be done about your new baby!!
I know what you mean about laughing yourself silly over the way kittens play. My little ones "fight" over a little mouse toy I have. It's covered in something that feels a lot like rabbit fur (and I don't want to know if it really is), and they'll grab it and carry it all over the house in their mouths. If the other one tries to take it away, you can hear the growling from anywhere in the house! So funny! They also carry around the wadded up pieces of paper I throw to them. Too bad I can't teach them to fetch! I've never tried to teach a cat a trick. I guess I consider tricks "beneath" a cat. LOL
I often think of what my cats would say if they could talk - kinda give them dialog in funny situations. (You might have noticed that in some of my posts.) I can hear Lily right now..... "Hmph.....you expect me to do *WHAT* ?? Bring that back to you? And what if I don't want to? I don't feel like it, so there."
About the Peanut Buttercup naming thing....I named Peanut a long time ago when he'd visit just for a day.....Buttercup (who was born right after Christmas) got his name because repeatedly saying "Buttercup" is one way to assess oral musculature and coordination - and I'm a speech-language pathologist. (Other speech therapists immediately get the correlation -- I can explain it further if you want me to.)
I sure hope you can figure out something to help you keep Bijou. I always thought it was the saliva that people are allergic to. You know, I was beginning to worry that I'd developed allergies because my eyes were bothering me so much, and mainly at night after I got home from work when my eyes were tired. Then today I realized that it was my contact lenses. I'd gotten new ones (a new brand) about three weeks ago - just before I got the babies - and I don't like these!!. They irritate my eyes! I wore my old ones today and have been fine.
I am still considering giving Peanut to my parents' neighbor..... She asked me about him today and said they *really* want him. They're going to keep him inside until he gets really used to them. Her daughter was so excited about getting him. I know they'll take good care of him. And I can always visit. It's a hard decision!
