- I had a similar problem when my mama cat was spayed because the baby was trying to nurse. The vet told me to put a baby's t-shirt on the mama which I did and she loved it! Also, you could separate them when you're not there to supervise. Otherwise if the incision opens up, the vet told me they have to redo it. - Paulette 09:21:14 06/22/01 (0)

- I would separate them from her for awhile & call your vet to discuss. If they are still nursing you might have to get them some KMR milk from the petstore. My mama & baby always played very rough, but baby never cried. I watched closely & saw that Mama was not hurting babies, but my vet said sometimes they do.       - At this point it looks like the traps are your best bet. I've seen them use them on TV and they're very effective. The main thing is that right now you know she's alive and surviving. I hope this is some comfort to you, albeit, not a whole lot. She certainly is safer in the woods than on streets where's there's traffic. She must not be too hungry. And be consoled that she has had shots and is spayed so she has good protection from further complications. Although it's a terrible situation, she has positive things going for her. I will keep praying until she gets home. We don't know why the Lord allows these things to happen. It seems so unfair, but His purpose is higher than ours.         He had the surgery when he was around 8 months old, in January, 2000. I think the vomiting really got worse after that.
