Can I use HTML tags in my posts?
Yes, this board allows HTML tags to be used in the message body.
Why is the original message already in the Comment box when I want to post a followup?
This board is set up so that the original message is automatically quoted in the Comments block when a person wants to post a follow-up message. Unfortunately we are unable to change the way this works. If you don't want the quoted message to appear in your follow-up, then it should be deleted before you write and submit your reply. There are two quick and easy ways to do that....
1) Click and drag your mouse cursor from the first character to the last to highlight the text and then hit the "Delete" button
or
2) Click once in the message box to put the cursor there, then hit "CTRL-A" to instantly highlight all of the text at once and then hit the "Delete" key.
These two methods will work for PC's using any version of Microsoft Windows. The procedure for MacIntosh machines may vary.
We are sorry for this inconvenience. If the company that hosts this board for us ever provides an option to turn off the automatic quoting we will change it right away.
Your post most likely did not show up because your browser did not reload the page, it simply pulled it out of disk cache. If you have posted a message but you don't see it when you go back to the main message board page, you may need to hit the "Reload" or "Refresh" button on your web browser.
You are welcome at any time to post a picture of your kitty! To post a picture, the picture file must be located on a web server so that it will have a normal URL (web address), pictures cannot be posted from your hard drive. If you have your own website, or have a friend that does, then just upload your picture to that website and use the resulting URL in the "Optional Image URL:" block at the bottom of the message posting form. If you don't have access to a website, or if the last sentence sounds like techno-jibberish to you, all is not lost! The Help for Cats Message Board will be happy to help you post any kitty pictures that you would like to post. Simple email the picture to us at CatHelp_1@yahoo.com and we will get the picture all ready for you to post and then contact you by email to give you the picture's URL and final instrucions.
