Dave, If I'm not mistaken, the USB connection is *only* for downloading still pictures from the memory stick. The only way to download the video is with i.Link aka firewire cable and card. Sorry.

: My new TRV730 has arrived and I am attempting to capture a digital video stream onto my PC using the supplied USB cable and the supplied software VideoWaveIII. The Windows explorer "sees" the camera via the USB port but VideoWaveIII does NOT.
: MGI Software support has entry about some cameras not having compatible USB & says use software supplied w/camera. Unfortunately, that software is VideoWaveIII.
: Any ideas (other than "buy a firewire card")?
