Hi, Beth,

I lived in Bothell for nine months last year, before moving back to Bremerton. It was perfect for me--relatively easy to get to a multitude of great places to experience the great outdoors in the Central Cascades. If you're planning on working in Seattle, that might be a little further out than you'd want.

Bainbridge Island wouldn't be a bad choice--a thirty minute commute by ferry is a lot more pleasant than the same amount of time spent fighting the horrendous traffic around the metro Seattle area. Downside: high rent.

Hope this helps. Best of luck to you, wherever you wind up. Join the club. Maybe we'll see you on the trail.

: Greetings! I am moving to the Seattle area in the next few months. I was looking for recommendations of areas to live. The past times I've been in Seattle I liked the area north of the city. Hoping to stick within 10-15 miles of downtown area. Looking to rent studio/apartment. any suggestions/information would be great. Thanks!
