:You can eat mushrooms, cucumbers, pineapple, celery, and lots of garlic. Garlic naturally lower cholestoral if eaten on a regular basis. Its a lot of work to lower it but you can do it naturally. Also, eat grapefruits, and drink green tea. Get the green tea from health food stores, you can take 400mg of vitamin E. Which protect you body from bad cholestoral. My favorite is Flaxseed you can buy them at the health food store. I munch on those. They are known to break down cholestoral. Go to the book store and look for books on lower cholestoral naturally. Also, juicing celery, carrots, and cucumber helps. Almonds, sunflowers, and olive oil (eating in moderation) help lower cholestoral. I hope this helps you. I've been eating a diet rich and these foods and they are helping me as long as I stick to it. Also, drink lots of water to flush your system. Eat lots of fiber like apples, fiber one for breakfast. And, more vegetable instead of meat. Also, watch the process foods because most of them have partially hydenated oils like cottonseed oil which is NOW TO RAISE YOUR CHOLESTORAL LEVELS SKI HIGH. Fiber helps transport the cholestoral out of the body. Continue to exercise. God bless you.

I recently went to my doctor to find that I have high cholestoral. My doctor has perscribed vessel care, ( a comprehensive homocysteine formula) and Lipitor. I am reluctant to take these two products because I've heard that they can lead to kidney damage. How can I lower my cholestoral naturally? By the way, I work out three to four times a week, and I'm African-American. Are there any foods that are good for lowering bad cholestorol?
