: Thanks Pat for the info. I personally prefer the first tour the Irish Traditions. Mainly becaue it goes to Kinsale, which is a town many people who have gone to Ireland have loved to visti. I don't want to repeat a lot of the first tour.
: What I will do this time is send more of whatever I buy home by mail. It worked for some things last time like crystal and such. I will go with not a lot of clothing LOL and by new stuff there...love the quality and workmanship of the tweeds and knits.
Dear Pati,
That's interesting to see that we both came to the same conclusion - "Irish Tradition."
I am sure you will really find it to be an excellent tour - my sister-in-law took it and was very happy with it.
If you intend to do a lot of shopping, certainly going with a partially empty suitcase is a smart plan. In addition, you will be given a CIE Tours flight bag - and it folds down to a flat piece, ideal for putting in the bottom of your suitcase and then opening up and filling when you get more stuff.
Although CIE only allows you one suitcase and one carry-on during the tour, you can check more than than when you fly home (as long as you don't exceed the weight limit). So, we usually pack our purchases in our secure suitcase and then fill the flight bag with used laundry and check it as baggage.
Enjoy you tour! And when you get back, please remember to write a "Trip Report" on my new Forum.
Thanks,
PAT
