Yes, it is possible, but do travel light as you'll have to use several modes of conveyance. First, a train or bus from Dublin to Cork (or you could fly as well). Then you'll need a bus from Cork to Goleen and a local taxi to Schull or Mizen Head. Go to my links page and you can find inks to the web sites for Bus Eireann, Irish Rail etc. Probably the best choice is to take a bus from Dublin to Cork and then you will be at the same bus station as the bus leaving for Goleen. If you take a train or fly to Cork, then you have the added transfer from rail station or airport to the central bus Station on Parnell Place.
