day trip from Shannon to Galway

Pat,
First, thank you for your information on traveling from Shannon to Dublin.

Now I have a question regarding the end of our stay in Ireland. Our tour ends in Shannon and we will be staying one extra night at the Bunratty Castle. We were thinking of taking a bus to Galway on our last day and taking a tour from Galway to the Connemarra area. The tour we are taking from Dublin does the southern loop to Shannon. Would you suggest a taxi to and from the Bunratty to the bus station in Shannon or Limerick? Also, should we take the Connemarra tour on our last day or would you suggest something else.

Also, a couple of questions regarding money. Should we get Euros in the U.S. before we leave or at the airport in Shannon? Also, is it best to use a credit card for the best exhcange rate?
