October-November 2004 Itinerary - Help

Hi Pat -

My fiance and I are planning to go on our honeymoon and do a 12 day self drive tour (October 25th-November 5th). Below is our itinerary I put together after rearching some places we would like to see. After putting it together my fiance said "How about going over to Wales for a couple days (2 days) and then back to Ireland. Do you think this is feasible? What places in my itinerary can we skip or can we combined different places into one day. My thinking is that in Oct-Nov it gets dark by 5 pm and can't do too much sightseeing like in the Sring/Summer.

One other thing - We are planning to arrive in Dublin on October 25th. I read on a web site that it will be impossible to get hotels/B&B rooms from October 24-27, 2004 because of a marathon. Is this true?

Sunday October 24th
Leave US in the evening and arrive in Dublin in the morning

Monday October 25th
Arrive in morning, check-in hotel, relax, stay in Dublin Recommendations where to stay????

Tuesday October 26th
Dublin, stay in Dublin

Wednesday October 27th
Leave Dublin, travel to Kilkenny. Visit Kilkenny and Rock of Cashel. Stay in Kilkenny. Recommendations where to stay????

Thursday October 28th
Leave Kilkenny, travel to Waterford. Visit places in Waterford. Travel to Cobh. Visit and stay in Cobh. Recommendations where to stay????

Friday October 29th
Visit Cobh, got to the Blanrey Stone (Cork and Dromberg Castle). Head towards Killarney and stay there. Planning on staying at Kathleen's Country House, any advice?

Saturday October 30th
Gap of Dunloe and Muckross House. Stay over in Killarney.

Sunday October 31st
Ring of Kerry. Stay over in Killarney.

Monday November 1st
Dingle Pensisula and head to Galway/Ennis/Corofin. Stay in Galway/Ennis or Corofin.

Tuesday November 2nd
Cliffs of Moher and the Bureens and stay over in Galway/Ennis or Corofin. Recommendations where to stay????

Wednesday November 3rd
Aran Islands (Dun Aerglis) and stay over in Galway/Ennis or Corofin.

Thursday November 4th
Galway/Connemera and stay over in Galway/Ennis or Corofin.

Friday November 5th
Leave Shannon Airport

1 nights in Dublin
1 night in Kilkenny
1 night in Cobh
3 nights in Killarney
2 nights in Ennis/Corofin
2 nights in Galway
