Should a child attend a funeral?
First what age are we talking about here? Are we talking about a 3year old, someone who is 5 years of age or a 12 year old, they all come under the word child; but their understanding of what is going on around them is very different. How can a child who is very young understand and make a decision. If you make a decision for the child is it really in the child’s interest or are you thinking about what is expected by the family or the friends and relatives.
