I am 48 years old and retraining for a new carrer in
IT. The ultimate goal is Network Admin & Database
Admin. as I see each driving the other from the
standpoint of needs and technology.
I have an "old" BBA in Management from the University
of Texas at Austin and have completed the intro
courses at a local Junior College ( including Visual
Basic 5, MS Access 97 & Database theory, A+ Core and
Operating Systems plus electronics).
My next step is a 6 month technical school program
in either Oracle 8 (on an NT platform) or MS 6.5 (also
NT). The objective is entry level employment while
going to school at night to finish the CNA/CNE/MCSE
work.
Any advice on Oracle vs Microsoft?
